Niacinamide

Niacinamide, or nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3 used in topical skincare.

Why it is used

Studied for skin lipid production, selected sebum measures and appearance outcomes in specific formulations.

Who may find it relevant

May be relevant to several cosmetic goals, but it is not compulsory for every routine.

Formulation compatibility

Can be formulated with ceramides and humectants. Layering choices depend on product directions and tolerance.

Compatibility inside one finished formula is not an instruction to layer or mix separate products.

A common misconception

A higher percentage is not automatically the better choice.

Where this appears in Venvia products

General evidence for an ingredient is not evidence for a finished product. Venvia products are still in development and no product claims are made here.
